Alexander ( Colin Farrell), son of King Phillip ( Val Kilmer) and Olympias ( Angelina Jolie) becomes King of Macedonia at the age of 20. Leading his small army, Alexander defeats the mighty Persian empire, then proceeds to conquer much of the known world over the next eleven years until his death at 32. His conquests paved the way for the spread of the Greek culture all over three continents, changing the course of history. Thus, he became known as Alexander The Great.

THE ALAMO id a historical drama detailing the 1835-36 Texas revolution before, during, and after the famous siege of the Alamo where 183 Texans and Tejanos commanded by Colonel William Travis ( Patrick Wilson), along with Davey Crockett ( Billy Bob Thornton) and Jim Bowie ( Jason Patric), were besieged in by a Mexican army of nearly 2,000 men under the personal command of the Mexico's General Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana ( Emilio EchevarrÃa), and the subsequent Battle of San Jacinto where the rag-tag army of General Sam Houston ( Dennis Quaid) defeated Santa Ana's army leading to the indepedence of Texas.

American Civil War veteran Captain Nathan Algren ( Tom Cruise) trains the Emperor's troops in 1870s Japan to use modern weapons as the Emperor prepares to defeat the last of the Samurai. When Algren is captured by Samurai leader Katsumoto ( Ken Watanabe), he is transported as a prisoner to the heart of enemy territory. Observing everything around him, Algren discovers that the Samurai's code of honor resonate with his inner self. Before long, Algren starts training in becoming a Samurai.

400 Army soldiers lead by Lt. Colonel Hal Moore ( Mel Gibson) face off against 4,000 North Vietnamese Soldiers in the la Drang Valley. Col. Moore exhorts his soldiers to fight a good fight including 2nd Lt. Jack Geoghegan ( Chris Klein) whom Hal has taken under his wing. Joe Galloway ( Barry Pepper), a reporter, goes along with the troops to cover the battle. Maj. Bruce 'Snake' Crandall ( Greg Kinnear) pilots a helicopter for the evacuation of the dead and the wounded. At home, Hal's wife Julie ( Madeleine Stowe), Jack's wife Barbara ( Keri Russell), and the wives and families of the 400 men under Moore dreadfully await news of casualties. The battle at la Drang Valley was one of the most savage battles in U.S. history.
